eMAR Technology
Brisma Pharmacy utilizes eMAR technology. eMAR is an acronym for Electronic Medication Administration Record. It is a software designed to replace paper MARs. What makes this system unique is that it is dynamically linked to our pharmacy software. This means that when the health care professional electronically sends a prescription from the nurses’ station to the pharmacy, the prescription is processed at the pharmacy and immediately appears electronically on the MARs at the nurses’ station. There are built-in safeguards to ensure that the order is reviewed and approved by the pharmacist before it is displayed in the MARs at the nurses’ station.
Long term care clinicians and paraprofessionals can remotely access resident care records using the latest mobile technology (laptops, tablets, smart phones) and document at the point-of-care, saving time and improving accuracy. Our eMAR technology also includes drug pass functionality featuring electronic notes, PRN results documentation, history and much more.
